SPIED2017 Jiangsu University Aug.17-28, China

Welcome to SPIED 2017

The “Summer Program for Innovative Engineering Design” (SPIED) (should be pronounced as “speed”) is planned and endorsed by the Consortium for Innovative Research and Education of Asia to provides a wonderful two-week experience for senior college students and graduate students from China, Korea and Japan to collaborate with each other. Students having mechanical or electrical or software engineering background or other special field backgrounds, gather in one place and share their knowledge and experiences with other participants through international team activities to learn how to create new ideas and products. SPIED starts with tutorial lectures by the professors in different fields to give you food of thoughts and seed for creation. Topics of interest include, but are not limited:

  • Smart Device Design;
  • Programming and Control of Robot;
  • Brainstorming theory and practice.

The participants from different countries will be assigned to a team to collaborate with others. Details of the program are disclosed on this notice. We arrange two classes in this summer, beginner class mainly for undergraduate students and advanced class mainly for graduate students. In these classes, students can obtain effective innovative engineering training within the two weeks. Beyond classroom learning, we also plan several fun events to enhance friendship among the participants coming from different countries. In addition, Zhenjiang has many historical sites as well as beautiful sceneries worth visiting. Young students may enjoy the life here with good memories. The organizing committee of SPIED 2017 will be expecting fully motivated students to take part in the program, sharing the precious time. We hope to see you in Zhenjiang this summer!
